Saiful Azuan A Aziz is the Head of Front End Engineering in PETRONAS (Malaysia National Oil Company) where he oversees all pre-FID works in the company. He is responsible in strategizing the development and production concept during business development and asset acquisition for PETRONAS EP, LNG, Regasification, Refinery and Petrochemical worldwide.
Saiful has spent more than 26 years in Oil and Gas industry with vast experience from onshore facilities to offshore deepwater, and from conventional development to unconventional development. Prior to Front End Engineering, his portfolio covers various capacities under Maintenance, Instrument, Corporate Strategic, Cost Engineering, Field Development and Engineering Solution. With these experiences, he has developed long term strategic knowledge of the industry from exploration up until decommissioning. He was also part of the strategic team that has shaped PETRONAS today.
Described as a highly motivated person and having inspiring personality, he has strong engineering background, innovative and likes to challenge the norm.
Saiful earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA in 1994 and he is very inclined with digital world as his early education and early work experience revolved around automation, control and robotic. He spends his free time with house automation and programming.
