Ir. Ts. Ikhwan joined PETRONAS in 2010 as a project engineer. He was involved in the PETRONAS Floating LNG 1 (PFLNG1) Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Project where he was based in Paris, France. Upon completion, he was then assigned to Yokohama, Japan to execute the PETRONAS Floating LNG 2 (PFLNG2) FEED Project. Upon returning from oversea assignments, he works on both projects in Kuala Lumpur as Senior Project Engineer in charged on overall project management activities including regulatory requirements and stakeholder management until project handover.

In 2017, he was certified as Technical Professional in the front-end engineering department resides under PETRONAS Group Technical Solutions (GTS), Project Delivery & Technology. Three years later, he was transferred to Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) as Staff Engineer in Front End Engineering at Resource Development & Management (RDM) Division.

Ikhwan has written many technical papers focusing on oil and gas production facilities. He has participated in many world-class conferences such as ADIPEC where he presented his paper to the industry players as part of his capacity as technical professional in PETRONAS. Locally, he has conducted multiple sharing session based on real case-study to post-graduate students as part of his contribution in giving back to the society.
