Dr. Shiladitya Basu has been with KBR since his graduation University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He graduated with a doctorate in progressive failure analysis of composite laminates from the Department of Aerospace Engineering. For the past 15 years, he has been working in the Oil and Gas industry with concentration in deepwater offshore developments. He has led suction pile mooring anchor design for multiple Gulf of Mexico semisubmersible FPSs. He has published extensively on field development planning in OTC, DOT and SNAME Transactions. He volunteers his time with SNAME OTC Houston committee and various other non-profit organizations around Houston.
