Mike Wyllie is an experienced Technology Director specializing in floating energy systems. During his 41 years in the industry, his work has mainly covered oil and gas production facilities, LNG and renewable energies, from concept development through project execution to offshore operations and maintenance. For over 23 years Mike worked for SBM Offshore, the last 8 years as CTO/Technology Director, where he was instrumental in driving the growth of FPSO technology as well as SBM’s diversification into new areas of floating energy. In 2019 he founded OpenWater Energy Ltd, where, as Managing Director, he now provides consulting services in all areas of floating energy. Mike is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
